How is that for healing make up? It actually worked out totally fine, we had no issues and the three of us handled our tanks and dps with no problems. In a ten man druid's can handle MT healing but in a 25 man there is usually someone better to assign, unless the tank needs two healers, which a druid is perfect to pair with anyone.LawGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06246231174918604228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3956954613950763451.post-12969196175868410712009-11-18T12:15:33.178-05:002009-11-18T12:15:33.178-05:00This is a really good post, and it made me think a...This is a really good post, and it made me think about things I expect from a raid leader. I guess I usually just take it for granted, but having experienced what happens when raid leaders DON'T make these kinda of decisions, I now know that RLs need to remember it.

The RAID LEADER should decide who gets a battle rez, at least when there are several people going down.

The RL should be the one to call for a wipe - this is a biggie - no one else should be calling in vent "let's wipe it" except the RL, or it will lead to mass confusion, wasted time, and possible wipes when it isn't needed.

The RL should be the one to decide who soulstone's whom.

The RL should be in charge of Who goes in what groups, and how the groups should be organized.

In 25 mans, I'm quite fond of the idea of having role leads, i.e. DPS, Tank, and Heals. I think tanks and heals need it most because they usually require a bit more coordination, although there are plenty of fights that have specific mechanics that DPS need to pay a lot of attention to.

For 10 mans, I don't think it's necessary at all to have role leads, although I will say that, coming from someone who always heals, it is very handy to have a strong healer who can give you feedback on how the healing makeup is working. They are going to feel it better than anyone else if there is a weak link in the healing set up because they will be carrying the other healers. They can also probably tell you better than anyone else if certain people are taking way more damage than they ought to be.

I'm totally one of those folks guilty for putting the druid on the MT. I WILL NEVER LIVE IT DOWN! Trust me, I learned my lesson!Miss Medicinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08722915845184864567noreply@blogger.com
